It's
not easy bein' green.
It seems you blend in with so
many other ordinary things...
But green's the color of Spring.
And green can be cool and
friendly-like.
And green can be big like an
ocean, or important like a mountain,
or tall like a tree ...or joyful
like a music festival.

Dear Friends,
Being green is about the
environment, but it's also about
people joining together to preserve
what's most important.
In this spirit, I am asking for your
help in bringing the gift of music
to Cooperstown again in 2009.
Because of the state of the economy
and looming cuts in public funding,
your generosity is vital to the
Cooperstown Chamber Music Festival's
future. Contributions by
individuals like you make up the
largest share of the Festival's
income. Ticket prices cover less
than one third of expenses. We're
reviewing our limited budget, and
cutting costs wherever we can
(including using green ways to save,
like using email instead of snail
mail).
Midori, Mark O'Connor, the St.
Lawrence String Quartet, Bill
Charlap.... For ten years, the
Cooperstown Chamber Music Festival
has featured world-class artists,
and offered outreach programs for
children and the broader community.
The number and scope of concerts we
present this summer depends on what
we raise now.
If you appreciate the Cooperstown
Chamber Music Festival and believe
in its mission, please invest in
the cultural vitality of Cooperstown
with your most generous gift today.

You can mail in your gift with a
completed copy of the
gift form (which also
details 2009 donor benefits,
including artist sponsorships),
OR
-
Keep it simple and save paper,
just mail your check, payable to
the Cooperstown Chamber Music
Festival, and write your name as
you would like it to appear in
the concert program on the
check's memo line. If you happen
to bank online you can help the
Festival in just a few clicks.
