Hilary Kole to Perform at the Otesaga

 Cooperstown Chamber Music Festival Opens August 2 with Jazz Vocalist

The Cooperstown Chamber Music Festival kicks off its 11th season August 2 with jazz vocalist Hilary Kole and her trio.  Hilary Kole co-created and originated the lead female roles in the award-winning Off-Broadway musicals, "Our Sinatra." and "Singing Astaire.” Her first solo album Haunted Heart debuted in April. Ms. Kole has appeared as a headliner in New York City at Birdland, the Blue Note, Iridium, at Carnegie Hall with Michael Feinstein.

Ms. Kole’s performance continues the Festival’s tradition of featuring jazz artists, including Hank Jones (with whom Ms. Kole has performed), Bill Charlap, Stefon Harris, the Brubeck Brothers Quartet, and Trio da Paz.

The Cooperstown Chamber Music Festival, under the artistic direction of flutist Linda Chesis, runs through August 21 and features celebrated works by Bach, Beethoven and Brahms, contemporary chamber music, an international flute choir, a family concert, a Baroque recital, and a night of music and comedy.

 Cooperstown, home to Glimmerglass Opera, The Farmers’ Museum, the Fenimore Art Museum, and the National Baseball Hall of Fame, is located in central New York State, 70 miles west of Albany and 30 miles south of the New York State Thruway (Interstate 90).
